Umesh brings over 35 years of operating and board experience, including 19 years of venture investing. Prior to venture investing, he was the CEO and president of C-Cube Microsystems, which he successfully scaled and sold to LSI Logic. He serves on the board of Impinj (Nasdaq: PI) and has served on seven other public company boards, including Mellanox (acquired by Nvidia), IDT (acquired by Renesas), and Monolithic Power Systems (Nasdaq: MPWR), as well as more than 35 private company boards.

Over his investing career, Umesh has backed category-defining companies including Avnera (acquired by Skyworks), Cohere, Harness, Isovalent (acquired by Cisco), P.A. Semi (acquired by Apple), Skyhigh Networks (acquired by McAfee), and ThousandEyes (acquired by Cisco). Through Seligman Ventures, Umesh serves as a Board Observer at SambaNova and Lumilens and on the boards of directors of Cognichip, Eliyan, Epic Microsystems and Velaura AI. His broader portfolio includes Modiqo, Exaforce, StackGen, and Upscale AI, reflecting his continued focus on the next generation of AI, cybersecurity, and data center infrastructure companies.

He was previously a partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and Thomvest Ventures.
